Book your dog photoshoot with Justine at The Picture Box
I’m Justine McMillan—an award-winning pet photographer. Dog photography is more than just taking pictures of animals—it’s about capturing the essence of our relationships with our canine companions and preserving those memories for years to come.
Every dog is different—some are bold and some are timid. Dogs can be funny, brave, loyal, loving or sometimes just plain ridiculous. A professional dog photoshoot will capture the essence of your pet. Whether it’s the way they cock their head to one side, the way their ears prick up when they are excited or the way they curl up in a cozy ball when they’re sleepy, it is these quirks and nuances that make them who they are. And these are the special moments and expressions that I focus on in my dog photoshoots.
Our pets are with us for a relatively short period of time, but memories of our time together can last a lifetime. The images from a dog photoshoot will become more precious as the years go by—creating memories that you will cherish for years to come. Whether you choose framed prints to hang on the walls of your home, or a custom pet photography album, your pictures will serve as a reminder of the love and joy that our pets bring into our lives every day.

Dog Photoshoot FAQs
I don’t have a dog but I do keep another animal as a pet—can you photograph them too?
Of course—as well as dog photoshoots I have photographed cats, horses and even ferrets. Whatever the animal, I’ll be happy to create a collection of beautiful photographs of your pet.
Can you photograph my dog anywhere—like on the beach or at my home?
I much prefer to work in my studio where everything is set up and I can control lighting etc. For some animals like horses, this isn’t practical and we can arrange a location shoot. However this will incur additional costs depending on the distances and time involved. I am happy to discuss this with you when you book.
